STAR-IDAZ Regional Network for the Americas

This meeting will bring together the STAR-IDAZ community, providing an opportunity to strengthen collaboration and coordination in animal health research in our region. 

The STAR-IDAZ international research consortium is a global network of research funders and programme managers committed to coordinating animal health research to accelerate the development and availability of improved disease control tools and strategies.

Why get involved?   

This meeting will provide an opportunity for research funders and programme managers to network, exchange perspectives and strengthen regional collaboration. It will also enable agreed regional research priorities to be communicated to the STAR-IDAZ Executive Committee, whose 36 partners collectively manage more than USD 2.5 billion in animal health research. 

Objectives

Specifically, the meeting will aim to: 

  • Discuss and agree on common regional researchpriorities;
  • Explore opportunities for sharing resources, including access to samples and strains,specialisedfacilities, and technical expertise; 
  • Identifyand exchange information on international funding opportunities. 

Who can participate?

All expressions of interest will be reviewed and additional information will be shared with selected participants.
