The Argentinian National Commission for the Control of the Antimicrobial Resistance, created in 2015 by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Health, held a meeting with the objective of pooling the following measures that will be developed. The majority of the agents involved in the commission took part in the meeting as well as many public and private organizations that are working on the subject.
Dr Luis Barcos, in his role as OIE Regional Representative for the Americas, was invited to participate and he mentioned during the meeting the OIE global commitment undertaken together with OMS and FAO to tackle this problem within the framework of the “One Health” concept.
In this way, the OIE Regional Representation for the Americas continues to support and encourage all the initiatives that are being taken by the Region to combat this global threat.
