During September, virtual meetings were held to update delegates and focal points in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay on future OIE activities under the tripartite project “Working Together to Fight Antimicrobial Resistance”.
The tripartite visibility actions of the World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) were presented to the countries to spread them internally, together with the strategy of access to the financial resources available within the specific activities of the OIE, to offer support to the Animal Health Services in the promotion and communication of key messages.
The WAAW this year has a broader focus, showing that all have a role to play with the prudent and responsible use of antimicrobials.
