On Tuesday 17 May, the Regional Representative for the Americas, Dr. Luis Barcos, met with a delegation from Brazil Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA), headed by José Guilherme Tollstadius Leal, National Secretary of Agricultural Defence, Bruno Cotta, Substitute Director of the Animal Health Department and Marcos Vinícius de Santana Leandro Júnior, General Coordinator of Veterinary products.
During the meeting, bilateral and regional issues of the Americas were discussed. They also discussed the OIE Observatory and the implementation of standards, and explored ways in which Brazil can collaborate with the OIE with human resources.
