On August 25, 2020, a virtual meeting on the project Working Together to Fight Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), was conducted by the Tripartite of the Americas´ Region. There, consultants in charge of carrying out the National Landscape Analysis of the 7 countries where the project is implemented were introduced to each other. The countries where the project is being implemented are: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
A team of public health, animal health, and environment experts will coordinate and maintain meetings with national authorities and the main organizations involved in AMR activities in each of the countries to carry out the landscape analysis of the implementation status of the National Action Plans (NAP) on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). It is expected from the implementing agencies to support the countries in their challenges and prioritize activities and interventions to fight AMR. Those activities will be incorporated in the work plans of the countries.
