Following the detection and notification to WOAH of Newcastle disease in Brazil, the Regional Representation organised an electronic meeting on 26 July.
At this meeting, Dr Marcelo de Andrade Mota, Delegate of Brazil, together with his technical staff, presented the details of the detection, the cases investigation and the control measures being taken by his country.
The meeting was attended by about one hundred and seventy participants from Veterinary Services, Regional and Sub-Regional Organisations, and Producers Associations.
