Webinar: Preparing for ASF - Legislation II

Header

Since the first case of African swine fever (ASF) in the Americas was reported in July, the main international organizations dedicated to animal health, have been working together to support the region in establishing sanitary measures to stop the spread of the disease.

Within The Global Framework for the Progressive Control of Transboundary Animal Diseases (GF-TADs),  an Emergency Management Regional Team was created, with the aim of coordinating and monitoring all the activities during the emergency. This committee under the IICA’s coordination, is launching a series of webinars on the most relevant topics related to ASF.

This time, we will continue discusing about the Legislative mechanisms and experiences in regulatory frameworks in preparing prevention and response measures against cross-border diseases, with Carmen Bullon from FAO, Francesco Feliziani from CEREP-CEREL, Sandro Rolesu from CdSE, Jon Zack and Dawn Hunter from USDA.

Date: July 15
